Highlights from Project GREEN 2024 Summit

This was the 6th year of the annual conference. This years theme was GRIT- get gritty and get sustainable! This was an amazing year for the Project GREEN Sustainability Summit. We had motivated and engaged participants, highly knowledgeable speakers and presenters and great field trips each day. The theme of Grit provided an interesting lens through which to examine classroom experiences in sustainability and the Riverstone international school was a great venue for teachers and professionals to explore classroom and whole school sustainability together.

Day 1 Highlights

  • Keynote Address: Looking back to think forward: Spaces for History in Sustainability by Emily Wakild, Professor of History and Environmental Studies at Boise State University. She is the Cecil D. Andrus Endowed Chair for Environment and Public Lands in the School of Public Service.

As always we offered mini-grants to teachers to adopt what they learned in this conference to their own classrooms and we were grateful for the support of Ada Soil and Water Conservation District to offer teacher attendees the opportunity to apply for grants for projects that support their community outreach goals as well!
